The Directorate of Urban Local Bodies organized a stakeholder consultation for the Aspirational Cities Program under chairmanship of the Principal Secretary of Urban Development in October 2023.The goal was to seek cooperation and collaboration from participating organizations for effective implementation, monitoring, and capacity building of the program. A total of 15 organizations and knowledge partners, including Samyak, participated in the consultation.

Post that, on 23rd August 2024, Samyak – Collective Good Foundation signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of UP to collaborate and provide crucial support for improving outcomes for health and nutrition. The partnership is focused on enhancing key performance indicators of the program, ensuring targeted interventions that drive sustainable urban development and improve quality of life are implemented in these cities.

Further, at the behest of the Urban Development Department, Samyak adopted five Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to showcase innovative and scalable models. These are:

  • Mohanlalganj, Lucknow
  • Kaiserganj, Bahraich
  • Ghaghsara Bazar, Gorakhpur
  • Renukoot, Sonbhadra 
  • Ma Kamakhya, Ayoodhya
