Samyak interacted with the newly appointed CM Urban Fellows of the Aspirational Cities Program. The orientation covered:

  • information on public health, public health structure, programmes & schemes, and urban health including aspects of migration, marginalization, vulnerability and barriers in accessing healthcare.
  • health indicators of the programme and their measurement, as well as possible strategies to improve the selected indicators.
  • successful strategies, case studies and best practices from Aspirational Districts and Block Programme, to improve health outcomes.

Post the orientation, fellows gained a deeper understanding of various health-related topics and health indicators of the Akanshi Nagar Yojana. Pre- and post-training assessments were also conducted to measure knowledge improvement. The results showed that 93% of fellows scored above 80% in the post-training assessment, compared to only 51% in the pre-training assessment.
